The project explores what life looks like for men who live alone.
In Denmark:
- 45% of all unskilled men live alone.
- The 25% most vulnerable men have a life expectancy approximately 10 years shorter than the 25% most privileged men, and 13 years shorter than the most privileged women.
- Men have a suicide rate that is about three times higher than that of women.
- Each year, around 5,000 men in Denmark die before reaching the retirement age of 65 — about 2,000 more than women.
- Men visit the doctor less frequently than women.
